I think Arthur Miller is up there as one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th Century. ‘Death of a Salesman’ a masterpiece of modern tragedy. I was also lucky enough to play John Proctor in ‘The Crucible’ at the Royal Shakespeare Company, one of my favourite theatre roles. And I will never forget a weekend I spent at Miller’s House in Connecticut as he kindly gave his time talking about ‘The Man Who Had All the Luck’ which was the first play of his that I performed.
