Jeremy Jones Instagram – Indigenous wisdom declares “you sweat you die.” “Be bold, start out cold” was once muttered at a dark trailhead by the elusive splitboarder, Renegade. One of the many info nuggets I learned from my hero/mentor Tom Burt, was, “it’s not how fast you go, it’s how long you stop,” that dictates your speed in the mountains. The reality is that dressing for a day of high output snowboarding in extreme weather is one of the hardest, and most important skill to master. I personally hate being cold but I also hate sweating. A lifetime of tinkering has led to the @jonessnowboards line of three puffies we are now offering. From micro insulation to breathable insulation to serious insulation, I have checked all of mine (and hopefully yours) cold weather needs.
