Jordan Klepper Instagram – I’ve been fans of @garbagetroll and @cluckcluckjoshsharp for a decade. They got to be hilariously bonkers on the Opposition and consistently made me break on stage. Not to mention they are kind and wonderful. They also wrote one of the weirdest live shows I’ve ever seen and they somehow got to make it into a movie that is out today. It’s Dicks The Musical and it’s one of the most bonkers thing I’ve seen on a screen. This industry is hard and strange and will shave all unique corners off of most projects so they look like the mainstream thing they can sell. By some act of magic, the bonkers beautiful minds of these two got onto a screen. There’s a moment where Nathan Lane regurgitates deli meat into the mouth of a sewer puppet. There is flying genitalia. It might not be for you, but it’s remarkably wild and weird in a time where that’s harder and harder to preserve. I love these two and couldn’t be happier that there are new folks who will love them too, and they will get to do that very soon.
