Miguel Instagram – Six years have passed since the release of our cover star Miguel’s last album “War & Leisure”, and his newest record, “Viscera”, arrives at the heels of a period of profound upheaval and reflection in his life. It follows, then, that “Viscera” significantly diverges from the lush romanticism many had grown accustomed to from Miguel. Deeply jarring circumstances have a way of molding our lives, habits, and creative impulses into abstract and unrecognizable shapes. In many ways, Miguel shares, this period revealed limits and opened up capabilities he’d never considered.
