Oleksii Potapenko Instagram – When you find yourself in a situation where you’re unfamiliar with the language, simplicity becomes your guiding star as you attempt to write a song. Your thoughts only skim the surface, for your limited knowledge holds you back from delving deeper. Such was the case when I embarked on the creative process for a beautiful song. All I knew in español was a mere “Hola!” and “Grasias”. But when I stepped into Ali Alvarez’s Miami studio, I brought forth the simple idea of a “Tu y Yo” or “you and I” song. And guess what? Ali loved this concept, and the incredibly talented Mario Caseras worked his magic on it. Together, we ventured into the depths of the emotions, weaving a dramatic tale through lyrics and music. The soulful Nasta gave her all and connected with the song like no other. This all happened a few years ago, before the chaos of COVID and war consumed us.
