Russell T Davies Instagram – This lovely man, second from left with the Red Dwarf cast, is John Pomphrey, who’s sadly passed away. He was a Lighting Designer at BBC North – a good old staffer, who’d work on a hundred shows, including Children’s, where I worked with him in the 1980s. And he was so lovely! Always smiling, always calm, always interested in what you were doing. I look back and think, God, we were kids! But he was infinitely patient, he listened to us and helped us and made us feel that bit more professional. What a delightful man. Never forgotten. Night, John. ♥️ Manchester
