People usually get disappointed because they expect a huge place with many sticks at the Incense Village in Quang Phu Cau, Vietnam. But do you know that you can visit the local families here, take a tour and see how these are made from scratch? Families in this village have been making incense for more than a century. More than half of the worlds incense comes from Vietnam which are made by these families with very little machinery involved but with a lot of backbreaking effort. This village makes about 50,000 sticks everyday in January for Lunar new year. India was Vietnams biggest customer and almost 90% incense sticks came from there. But in 2019 India partially banned the imports. Anyway, this is the reason I won’t call it a Scam. Dont go here expecting it to be a huge place with incense everywhere. That’s just our assumption from the pictures.
