Alysia Reiner Instagram – During the pandemic, @AlysiaReiner lived in Saltaire, on Fire Island, a small town with no cars, no hospital, no police, no doctor — just Volunteer Fire. The actor and activist had never dreamed of becoming a firefighter, but, much like Reiner recently told her teen daughter, things change. “That community saved my life — physically, emotionally, and spiritually during the pandemic,” the actor and activist recalled to Flow for our Innovation & Advocacy Issue. “I deeply wanted to give back.” And so Alysia Reiner became a volunteer firefighter.
