My birthday present to myself is cultivating more self love and worthiness AS IS. Those of you who know me know it is tattooed on my wrist ( along with my @msmarvelofficial lightening bolt!) to remind myself to love the world as it is. But this year I want to go deeper loving MYSELF as is , feeling worthy and enough, unemployed, wrinkles, bumpy nose, crepy skin , cellulite, gray hair, and all. It’s a privilege to make it this far in my life. Some of my friends died in their 40s. Some younger, some older. missing you today Barbara, Racheal, Heather, Patricia, & Owen. Also my daddy & Davids dad ( 55 & 47 respectively). It’s a privilege to age. Im learning this, as much as the capitalist patriarchy wants to sell me so much shit to stop the process. It’s been an incredible life so far so many dreams come true, so many dreams I didn’t even know I had : becoming a volunteer fire fighter, becoming a foster mom, I never even dreamed of having { a healthy relationship with} a teen daughter, and look at this one! Being an activist, producing movies, learning tennis! I love continuing to learn new things to feel like a beginner, and it’s deep discomfort, and to evolve through that.
