Ok you guys this one was SO fascinating and unique! Have you ever heard of a roman a clef novel before? Yeah me either, but it means a novel in which real people or events appear with invented names. Author @thebriannedavis has taken her years of experience as a Hollywood actress and created a fictional character, Roxanne who struggles with sex and love addiction. This felt like a mix between a memoir and a juicy fiction and I could not put it down! It’s a raw and honest look at an addiction that I knew next to nothing about but I was captivated by how unflinchingly honest Roxanne’s story was told. This is bold and doesn’t shy away from the gritty details on how a sex and love addict could behave, I was entertained and invested wholeheartedly and was rooting so hard for Roxanne.
