Brittany Packnett Instagram – 📚🎬From my seat, true history is needed now more than ever… now that the strike is over (we don’t cross the line over here, beloved 🫶🏾), very pleased to share that I was so honored to be among the absolutely gamechanging group of Black women featured throughout @netflix’ #Stamped, based on @ibramxk’s brilliant “Stamped from the Beginning.” I was very pregnant, very fired up…and very committed to playing my part as a storyteller of our own and owned narrative. There seems to be a persistent, and too often intentional, misremembering, misreporting, and misinterpreting of the facts of Black American history—and what it has taught Black people about liberation.
