Deanna Yusoff Instagram – Hey there! Are you a hoarder or a Marie Kondo enthusiast for your wardrobe? I’m leaning towards the latter, and it’s been amazing!
I recently did some textile cleaning, collecting old towels, t-shirts, linens, and shoes. Then, I dropped them in bright yellow bins all over Singapore – like a treasure hunt!
What’s cool? These bins aren’t a one-way ticket to the landfill. They’re portals to a textile recycling wonderland. Everything goes to Malaysia for sorting and recycling.
Some items find new life in the second-hand market, and the rest gets a creative makeover. Giving old stuff a second chance feels fantastic.
And there’s more! I also donate clothes, shoes, and bags I don’t use to another bin. They sell them as pre-loved items and even have clothing swaps. It’s a budget-friendly wardrobe refresh!
Sure, I still buy new clothes, but I’m aware of the fashion industry’s environmental impact. Textile waste piles up fast. Recycling and swapping are win-win-win – someone enjoys my old stuff, we’re kinder to the Earth, and I get a fresh wardrobe.
Decluttering is like Marie Kondo for the mind – making space for positive vibes.

So, are you a hoarder or a Marie Kondo-er?
Any clothing swap systems in Malaysia?
