On 13th Nov morning, we received a call from Gangapada River Bank, Pipili, about a Jackal who was unable to move around. We reached the location ASAP to discover that the Jackal has suffered from a Burn injury on his Limb. But as soon as we decided to help him out, he passed away. With multiple tries of CPR and Mouth to Mouth Respiration, we were unable to get him back.
Suspect :- What seems to have happened the night before, he got hit by a Cracker and to seek relief from the burning sensation, he must have rushed to the river bank as the sand was cold. By the time he woke up during the morning hours, his legs suffered from partial paralysis which is why he wasn’t able to go back to a shade. As the sun rose, the sand got hotter leading to dehydration and hypothermia (increase in body temperature) . Finally the moment we reached he just wasn’t able to take the stress anymore and passed away.
May his soul rest in peace. Many animals suffered during Diwali and many lost their lives (which were not reported).
So the question, ” How is Bursting Crackers a Joy when it takes away Lives, in Agonising Pain? ”
