Elina Samantray Instagram – Honestly, this particular case has shook us to the core and had never witnessed such an incident before. We received a call on 27th November, that a Labrador was allegedly tied up in a sack(stained in blood) , dumped while she was bleeding profusely, in the outskirts of chandaka, boundary of bharatpur forest inside a trench. It was just not the sack but her mouth was too, so that he couldn’t scream. She was discovered by a few passersby. Upon reaching, we could see a life choking on breath, covered with flies as many as hundreds and badly burning due to heat. But within moments of moving him inside the vehicle and starting off fluids, she suffered from a severe cardiac arrest and passed away. Both her ears were full with hundreds of maggots oozing out and bleeding cut marks of torture all around her body. What wrong had she done to suffer a death so painful? Why can’t we be humans, just for once? We have no words. This was immensely depressing for us. But we managed to put up a small reel hoping we could generate awareness, so this doesn’t happen again.
