Elise Eberle Instagram – I want to clear the air here. This strike is not about millionaires asking other millionaires for more money. As of 2023, 87% of actors in the guild must have multiple side hustles or multi hyphenate themselves in order to survive. This wasn’t always the case but streaming services have changed the film industry exponentially. Actors see none of those residuals while studios see billions. All we ask is fair pay. What’s worse is the studios even ADMIT that we are in a new era yet they are fighting us tooth and nail, unwilling to take any accountability for their corporate greed or work with us in negotiating a new deal.
