“Yesterday, hundreds of women joined us on the mat, most of them being exposed to the magic of jiu-jitsu for the first time. It is truly amazing to witness women realizing their bodies are capable of more than they ever imagined.
This event felt like we were all part of a movement that went far beyond the day and even beyond the women who were present in attendance.
A movement that represents resistance to violence, the challenging of danger, the conviction of our voices, and the affirmation of our worth. Thank you to the participants who took the first step onto the green mat, and inspired us with your courage!
