Frederique van der Wal Instagram – It’s wonderful to see and read about the well-deserved recognition the artist Sheila Metzner is receiving.
Sheila, a photographer whom I always loved working with for publications like American Vogue, German Vogue, and others.
Her shoots were always grand productions, with a tableau-like quality that brought the images to life.
The storylines she created for the shoots were vibrant and purposeful. I especially loved how she often included her beautiful kids in the shoots, adding an extra layer of depth and meaning.
During one of these memorable shoots, I had the pleasure of meeting Beatrix Ost, while sitting on her husbands lap I kept eyeing Beatrix. I knew we were meant to connect deeply.
I will forever be grateful for that shoot.
Sheila, congratulations on your exhibition at the Getty Museum and your gallery show at Peter Fetterman. It’s fantastic to see you receiving the recognition that you truly deserve.
