indhu Instagram – A good end to a very special day. Yesterday had me filled with gratitude for having been invited as guest for the Lions Club Diabetes Day special meet. Lions Club showed me that they truly were power meeting purpose. Was delighted to know that a type1 diabetic found at one of their rural area camps was adopted by the area lions club so that her lifelong insulin needs would be met by them. Now isn’t that great!! I’m waiting to see the huge scale magic that such powerful clubs can do while they lead with their heart.
Type1 diabetes still remains hidden among the people due to prejudices, social misinformation leading to difficult situations , ignorance… More and more people in the community need to know about it so as not to create unwanted difficulties for the children growing up with this invisible illness. Knowledge is always power.
