There is no excuse for the deliberate killing and kidnapping of innocent civilians anytime anywhere ever.

Happy #NationalWaffleDay
I set the record on March 1st, 2011 thanks to Jimmy Fallon and his team, for balancing 63 stacked frozen waffles in my hands.
This is a real testament to the unconquerable will of the human spirit, and its determination to achieve greatness against all odds. 😂😂😂

Day of shame for Australia 🇦🇺

Actress #IslaFisher writes in YOU today about her family roots, charity work as a @savechildrenuk ambassador – and a meaningful gift she received from husband Sacha Baron Cohen…
‘[My dad} was always proud of his work supporting disadvantaged children both in Australia and around the world – as was I,’ Isla recalls. ‘He described meeting Princess Anne – who took over from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as the charity’s patron in 2017 – as the pinnacle of his career. Inspired by his work and my interest in early-years development, I became an ambassador for Save the Children in 2012. My first involvement with the charity was for a breastfeeding campaign, when I visited the slums of São Paulo and met mothers who pumped their breastmilk so it could be donated to neonatal wards… 11 years on, I still remember how inspired I was by this simple, selfless act. And it’s that feeling of sisterhood and solidarity that I’m reminded of while in Scotland. Here I can feel, once again, the power of human connection, of community. Sometimes it’s the small gestures that make everything OK.’

Happy National Dog Day ❤️🥰
YOU’s cover star this Sunday is Hollywood actress #IslaFisher, who opens up about the personal mission that took her back to Scotland – the land of her forefathers – and her charity work as a Save the Children ambassador. Her dad, she writes, was best known for his sense of humour. ‘Jokes were currency in our family and you were rewarded for getting the loudest laugh… something that has no doubt inspired my comedic acting over the years – and possibly my choice of husband (Sacha Baron Cohen).’
Elsewhere in the magazine, Miriam Margolyes talks to us about love, death and politics. Designer @karenmillen_obe shares the ups and downs of her career and label, we meet Lisa Kay of @solebliss – the shoe brand A-listers love, and ahead of Christmas, Tom Parker Bowles digs deep to uncover the secrets of the ultimate roast potato.
Don’t forget to pick up a copy of YOU on Sunday and check out @mailplus to read more online.
