Jenna Bush Hager Instagram – It’s almost December, which means it’s time for another Read With Jenna pick! This month’s book is, “We Must Not Think of Ourselves,” by Lauren Grodstein! This historical fiction novel takes place during World War II. Our main character, Adam, is one of 400,000 Jewish people forced into imprisonment in the Warsaw Ghetto by the Nazis following the German invasion of Poland. Weeks after he’s captured, Adam is approached by a mysterious figure with a surprising request: Would he join a secret group of archivists working to preserve the truth of what is happening inside these walls? Adam agrees and spends his time listening to the stories of his fellow prisoners— his students, friends, and neighbors. He learns about their childhood memories, their dreams, their passions, and their fears. This is a love story; a novel about resilience, sacrifice, and hope, even in the darkest moments. It’s timely and powerful, and it proves that even in the darkest corners, love still remains. This book is out TOMORROW! Head to your local indie bookstore or preorder today!
