Per noi, l’attrice e imprenditrice, posa in una casa Hollywoodiana del 1923, con abiti da sera e sofisticati look da giorno. Nell’intervista racconta di essere stata una bambina fragile che ha combattuto contro una grave forma d’asma. Il primo provino, superato a 12 anni, è stato la sua rivincita. Da quel momento è diventata una star capace di mantenere tutta la famiglia. «Mia madre ha lasciato il lavoro per accompagnarmi alle audizioni. Il secondo reddito in famiglia, oltre a quello di mio padre, lo portavo io», ricorda.Un giorno, alla prima gravidanza, una crisi allergica l’ha costretta a fermarsi suggerendole una nuova sfida: fondare un’azienda di prodotti sostenibili. Oggi la sua compagnia è un enorme successo e lei è orgogliosa di essere un modello di riferimento per tante giovani, «Vedere le donne ai vertici è importante perché spesso le persone non credono di poter raggiungere certe posizioni, se non ne vedono un esempio», e spiega perché la migliore cura è non arrendersi. She tells Grazia she was a fragile kid battling with a severe form of asthma. Her first casting, booked at age 12, was her remarch. Since then, she became a star, able to provide for her family: “My mom quit her job to take me to auditions. The second income in the family, besides my dad’s, was mine” she recalls. One day though, during her first pregnancy, an allergic reaction forced her to stop and think about a new challenge: create a company of clean and sustainably-designed products. Today her company is a huge success and she is an inspiration to many young women: “To see women at the top is important because often people don’t think they can reach certain positions if they don’t see an example”, she says, because sometimes, the best cure is to never give up.
