Kristen Gutoskie Instagram – Well, we made it through the 4th trimester. Woosh what a ride. I get emotional going through pictures to post this because wow what a 3.5 months it has been. It has been the most beautiful and most challenging time in my life adjusting to motherhood, and I am deeply grateful for the honour. Our beautiful Lennon Libráda entered the world on a full moon, a week early on June 3rd, 2023. Named in ode to his great Grandpa and great Tita. We had an incredible labour that started at the Dodgers game, so LA of him. 17 hours later, he was here. I would love to share my labour story at some point in the future 💕 We spent a hard week in the nicu but our tough little guy just took minute to get used to being on the outside :) And since then it has been a whirlwind. I will be honest to say I really struggled with the ups and downs of hormones and healing in postpartum and learning to parent so instantly. You love this new creature so much it’s painful. Your old life is in the rear view mirror. Breastfeeding is so freaking hard at first and my god, the sleep deprivation. But here we are, finally getting the hang of it. Seeing our love’s personality emerge and all the smiles and coo’s and watching him discover things for the first time is just the best thing I’ve ever witnessed. Watching @brianleeboehner be such a beautiful papa reading Lennon books every morning and changing diapers like a boss. Every morning when we wake up, I say “I love youuu” and Lennon returns it with “Ow gooo”. Hands down my favourite new word. I am deeply humbled to be your mama Lenny Bear, the greatest love I’ve ever known. Cannot wait to see what else this journey has in store for us.
