One thing about being an artist and deep feeler in this world is that there are never enough words to capture the magnitude of the pain everyone is feeling. Everyone is trying to make sense of something that doesn’t make any sense and when one has no sense of Self or sense of the world around them, it’s easy to dismiss the very plain sight mechanism that keeps us all in these ruts of self-hatred/denial and perpetual judgement of one another that historically keeps us in a cycle of violence asleep to the true evil source of all the symptoms. My message from Spirit this morning when I asked whether or not I needed to speak was: Silence is what keeps us here. Silence is what has kept us here. Silence is the violence. Silence is what’s gonna allow another genocide before our eyes. Silence holds our truths and experience hostage so as not to enrage a well oiled *profitable* machine. Rage, then, is nothing but a consequence of our own desire to be free; but our rage is never allowed it’s freedom. Not to speak, or defend, or retaliate, or riot, or peacefully protest, or bring up historical facts & hypocrisy in the same breath..so where is this rage meant to go? I find it interesting to watch and read and absorb the discourse on who is permitted their rage, no matter how misplaced, and permitted to defend their rights to take what they want through pure terror for centuries. I am also intrigued at how many people who will never know war (but whose ancestors did) have so much to say about what an appropriate reaction is to genocide. Lol. There’s a running theme if you pay close attention to the parallels of the way we have conversations about our own history here in the US. Anyway. I hope you read my words and that they make you feel something but I also hope you pick up a book and do the research yourself. God help us all. Peace. My heart is with you. #SavePalestinianChildren #CEASEFIRENOW #StopTheGenocide Theres an unspoken grief of watching murder from a screen. Bodies buried under rubble on the land that the settlers will seize. Sirens swirling with the screams, mothers running frantic in the streets, sickened with anxiety and grief to see their little one be murdered by police. We talk about dignity and peace but oppressor says there’s pressure on their pocketbook to start and to fund another siege We’re happy to repeat we absolutely cannot cease, FIRE! Here’s another hospital and school FIRE Here’s a kid that threw a couple rocks cause he got a little bold after those White phosphorus showers To me it’s very obvious who the terrorist is The ones with the guns who come to take with nothing to give Who lie to themselves, then lie to the world Who talk about a vengeful god or burning in hell If you’re not like them wanna save some souls from a miserable eternity that they themselves enact on Earth in perpetuity with no accountability Continue getting wealthy off the backs of the majority They’ll call us the minority Ignore all of the poverty And tell us that there’s never any money for necessities but there’s money for wars And apparently more According to the president there could be more in store! I love to know that all the income I’ve been working for is directly funding genocides and proxy wars And that they’re proud of it. But I guess we are inside of it, The belly of the beast that keeps the peace with a violent silence I wonder what would happen if we redirected time and we took the guns out the hands of those whose looked like mine and took the greed out the hearts of those who compromised their people and their souls to enable their genocide If the fighting was fair Would we still be here or would there maybe have been another there If they didn’t burn books, If they didn’t re-educate the children they took If they didn’t enjoy watching the bloodshed and look so suspiciously psyched at the sight of the dead Would we be living in utopia instead? Man I wanna believe it. In my lifetime I’d love to see it For the children who need it For the mothers who’re grieving For the men we don’t talk about who really die for their freedom (cont.) “Love is a way of life with all living beings” #FreePalestine #PalestineWillFreeUsAll “Love is a way of life with all living beings” #FreePalestine #PalestineWillFreeUsAll “Love is a way of life with all living beings” #FreePalestine #PalestineWillFreeUsAll “Love is a way of life with all living beings” #FreePalestine #PalestineWillFreeUsAll “Love is a way of life with all living beings” #FreePalestine #PalestineWillFreeUsAll This was sooo much fun to make!
