Mandy Teefey Instagram – It’s no secret I am a huge Schitts Creek fan. But, me and my family, yes even Gracie, watch this together and laugh. We have discussions about it. So, one day it was on in the background when Gracie was playing with a friend. The friend saw David and Patrick kiss. I over heard them discuss it. The friend called it weird (she is a little younger and wasn’t mean about it) but Gracie looked at the TV and asked what is weird. The friend said two boys kissing. Gracie with all her Schitts Creek knowledge proudly stated “no, it’s not, they love each other”. The friend quizzically asked “well would you kiss a girl.” Gracie, “no, but just because I don’t want to kiss a girl, doesn’t mean it’s weird. They can love whoever they want.” Friend “that makes sense.” Now if an 8yr old and a 6yr old have a conversation about differences and supporting differences, can’t we all!!!
