Ming-Na Wen Instagram – Congrats, WGA! Write on!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 This past May 30th, I was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It will always be a day I will treasure. I was emotional and stunned that it really happened. ⭐️ It was also the month our sister union, #WGA, went on strike. In solidarity with our writers, I gave them a shout out for their important contribution as storytellers. I wanted to applaud their strength to strike and acknowledge how much they need to be valued! I cherish writers!! My special day was only made possible because of the scripts from our writers. It starts with their words. ✍🏼🎭🥰 Their bravery to strike helped @sagaftra to follow suit in July. Together, our unions picketed side by side, marching together for better deals from the AMPTP. It was a historic and powerful statement about labor forces fighting for their livelihood. THIS is what makes America great. 💪🏼👏🏼👊🏼 As of last week, the WGA have come to a tentative agreement and have stopped striking. Bravo!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 But that did not stop many of the WGA members to come out and support #SAGAFTRA strikers. It warms my heart to see writers at the picket lines while we wait our turn at the negotiation table. ❤️ First meeting with the AMPTP is next Monday. Hoping for as positive of an outcome as the deal the WGA made. I have complete faith in our hardworking and tough negotiators. Thank you for all you’re doing for us. Here’s to a fair deal!!
