I remember looking up and taking what I thought would be my last breath in Portugal and thinking wow this is how I die on the dirty floor of a hospital in Portugal. My organs were shutting down and I went septic. That was the moment I realized I needed to make some changes with who I associated with, with protecting my energy, and finding out who I really was. To all my single ladies, it’s ok to be single no matter ur age! I have been single for a while now and not dating and I’m 33 and it has been the best experience of my life. I’ve been focusing on my career, my passions, traveling, getting to know myself, I started cooking again, I workout everyday and meditate, I go to therapy every week, I journal every morning and night, I have taken my body out of fight or flight, and I have created my dream little apartment and I sit at home in peace living each moment in the present and with gratitude. It’s ok to be alone and make ur life ur own perfectly imperfect bubble of happiness and peace. The moment I stopped trying to chase love and grasp for any type of external validation and only focused on myself was the moment I reached a new level of happiness. I put in the hard work, I healed, I cried, I faced my demons, I almost died two years ago and put in the hard work (I truly didn’t think I would get out of) and the rainbow on the other side has been fucking magical 🌈 now my standards for who I allow in my life r set very high.
