I love playing smart, self-assured, complicated Jewish women and I’m proud to add the character of Elaine Levitch to that roster. Like Elaine, I also come from a long line of Bostonian Jews, and it was very cool to spend a few months in Boston last year pretending I was in the early 1960’s, a time when my grandfather still would have been the Somerville town doctor and my grandmother would still have been shopping at Filene’s. (Fun fact: she also graduated from law school in the 1930’s). Anyway, season 2 of “Julia” premieres today and I play the recurring character of Elaine Levitch starting in episode 2 and Elaine is smart and awesome and Jewish and maybe knew my grandparents. #juliaonmax

(Thanks to @unistudios for the tickets) #AtUniversal
Posting this from @alexedelman because I don’t know what the fuck else to do.
It is in my contract that every show I do must mention UTIs and I’m so grateful that a show set in the early 1960s somehow managed to honor this #juliaonmax @streamonmax
I’m trying to stay off of social media for the moment but I would be remiss in not letting you know that “Death, Let Me Do My Show” is coming back to New York this winter. I love doing this show. I love New York. I love people. The link for tickets is in my bio.

We shouldn’t have had to film this in the first place. #SandyHookPromise #ProtectOurKids
Super behind on posting about this, but I am so grateful to the WGA negotiating committee for navigating us through the storm and giving me and @gregorcorp a reason to celebrate which is how we ended up in the one place open on Long Island on Yom Kippur which was a dive bar where we overheard some guys loudly complaining that “Schindler’s List” was playing too much on TV lately
