Been doing much reflecting recently and feeling very lucky for all the life I’ve been lucky enough to live, all that I’ve been able to experience and most importantly the love I’ve known. I will say that though I try never to get caught up in regret I almost always wish I had been more appreciative and acknowledging of every kindness shown and any love given, I always wish I left another knowing they were more appreciated. “What I regret most in my life are failures of kindness. Those moments when another human being was there, in front of me, suffering, and I responded . . . sensibly. Reservedly. Mildly.”
