But since it’s out there, I hope this inspires others to act in our increasingly cruel world. Last year, I was devastated when I saw a young girl asking for help, but men continued to film the child instead. I pray God always give me enough resources to help those in dire need and enough courage to stand by what’s true and just and right. I pray that all cruelty meets a definitive cruel end. I pray that next time someone asks for help, we don’t act like cowardly bystanders, but act fast to save lives. I hope we can all adopt survivors because despite all the financial help, they have so much trauma to deal with…which is a lifelong battle. And it is a solitary battle in the best case scenario. I admire people like Yogita Bhayana from PARI, Swati Maliwal and many others who risk everything and enter dangerous environs to save lives of girls that have been abused.
