Ricki Lake Instagram – I do not mean to be silent during this horrific time. I have been at a complete loss of what to say in this moment. I am horrified and scared. What has happened to our humanity? I had the privilege to visit Israel with my partner Abby Epstein in Nov 2015 while filming our documentary Weed the People. Israel has been the leader in cannabis research. I had always wanted to visit and my time there was magical and inspiring. Had the honor of meeting and interviewing the late great Raphael Mechoulam and his team of Scientists on the incredible life-saving advances that they were making with cannabis for cancer research. My old talk show was also extremely popular in Israel. It was wild and surprising to see that even more than a decade after my show was off the air I was still recognized. I am proud of my Jewish heritage and will continue to pray for my people, and all of my friends in Israel, as well as the thousands of innocent Palestinians that are unjustly subjected to the rule of Hamas. #prayforisrael #prayingforpeace #prayingfortheworld
