*Give a good old swipe to keep it real* I’m on the most stunning vacation rn. Truly breathtaking. And still, I spend most of my waking hours absolutely tormenting myself over my body. I have tried it all. Diets, over exercising, body positivity, punitive behavior towards myself, food restriction. The thing I have found that helps me the most, is finding people who relate to me, who struggle like me, and following their personal journeys. There are a lot of influencers and bloggers out there who are carrying the body neutrality movement on their backs, keeping it real every day, and I am so, so grateful for them and their dedication to making sure others know they aren’t alone. I started working on my first TV show at 15 years old and one of the first things I heard was “the camera adds 10 pounds. So you know, make sure you account for that.” I’ve had costume designers body shame me, and tell me “at least having the flu means you’ve lost weight”. And let me tell you, one thing I’m not looking forward to when this strike is over is getting back into wardrobe fittings, should I be so lucky to be working. The epitome of anxiety and shame, when they say we need to go up another size. All of this to say, I want to add to the conversation and I hope this helps even one person. I’m not searching for pity -trust me I give enough of that to myself 😂 – just a hope that this helps the people constantly slaying the dragon that is BDD and body image issues.

Everyone at Wet Noses Rescue are so passionate about the work they do and the lives they save and I can’t thank them enough for bringing this little angel into my life and getting her to me! Will also be calling her Dobby girl bc the EARS 😭 Little nervous about introducing her to my sweetest baby first child Monty, but I have high hopes. Lmk if you have any suggestions for the first meeting 😂 xx #adoptdontshop
