Viola Davis Instagram – The hope in all of this is the God anointed hero that is gynecologist, @drdenismukwege. In 2018, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in ending rape as a weapon of war as well as a number of humanitarian awards. He is the foremost expert in repairing and healing women who have been brutally mutilated. To date he has performed up to 10 operations a day working tirelessly 17 hours a day at The Panzi Hospital (@panzifoundation). To date, the hospital has treated 80,000 women….the youngest being 8 months. He survived an assassination attempt but continues to forge ahead. Dr. Mukwege has announced his bid for presidency of The DRC. He is a hero….a savior…a beacon of hope in an otherwise dismal crisis.. My heart has been moved by this warrior so…I’m sharing with you in the hopes that you can be moved in any way.
