August Alsina Instagram – The word Joce is a term & colloquialism bred from my uprising in New Orleans. A nostalgic nuance, now all bottled up in a unisex fragrance available for you to shop now! (encinawellness.com) It’s a term that can mean everything and nothing at the same time; An entendre, An hyperbole, A dichotomy, A metaphor, and sort of oxymoron even. A mere reflection of all of life’s full scope offering. The Good, The Bad, The happy, The Sad, Time well spent, & time wasted. It’s all a le’ (lil) Joce (whatever one decides to make it.) The plight & innuendo of the human experience, all bottled up in a fragrance. Examples: 1. a New Orleans term: “a joce can be something simple, something real sweet, and quick or a joce can be something serious with somebody you could spend the rest of your life with” 2. A jail or prison term for how you pass your time while incarcerated. Man watching the tv be my joce when I’m in this cell. 3. To make a joke To start the (talking stage) with someone To say something is cool, funny, or eventful Can be a (Verb, Noun, Adjective) “Jess , stop jocing! you play too much.” “That party was a joce! It was lit!!!!” “ U still joce amanda? Nahh we stop talking .” 4. Your flirt and the only one !! Person 1: “I was otp with my joce all night” Person 2: “I gotta get me a joce” 5. Someone you’re talking to for fun, but may not take seriously. Don’t you and Emily go out? Na, she just a joce. 6. A word to describe Something that you really love, like a fragrance, or a refreshing drink after tasting Example: taking a sip of your favorite beverage, feeling the complete satisfaction afterward & saying to yourself, with a smile, “that was really a lil Joce.” Something that hits the spot. :)
