2. British-Egyptian poet, playwright performer and writer Sabrina Mahfouz reads an excerpt from her play A History of Water in the Middle East
3. Palestinian writer and poet Mohammed el-Kurd @mohammedelkurd eulogizes his friend Refaat Alreer, the Palestinian writer, poet, professor and activist assassinated in Gaza by Israel last week on December 7. el-Kurd describes Alreer, (who is still under the rubble in Gaza), as a voice of courage and satire, and encourages us to be the same. “Over there they are subjected to a genocide, but here we are at war and each one of us has an active role to play”
