Dan Deacon Instagram – ‘Great Photo Lovely Life’ is out now on HBO. I think the Rolling Stone review put it best with their summary: “‘Great Photo, Lovely Life’: A Filmmaker Bravely Confronts Her Pedophile Grandpa. HBO doc sees Amanda Mustard turn the camera on her grandfather, a serial pedophile who terrorized her family and countless others.” I work in non-fiction a lot as a film composer but this is my first project where the director and the subject matter are so interwoven and (actually) directly related (like literally). Amanda Mustard you are amazing. I think few people could have navigated this with such grace and care with artistic vision as Amanda and she fucking crushed it (and she also plays marimba on the score!!!).
