Danny Elfman Instagram – My relationship with 19th century artist Louis Wain goes back to my childhood. I was deeply fascinated by how the depiction of the many cats that he was obsessed with and his descent into schizophrenia were connected.
Naturally, I chose one of his paintings from the first cover of the first Oingo Boingo record we ever did. It seemed only fitting now as I’m starting to run out of space on my body to include an homage to Louis Wain. And so I did! 

Picture 1: My very talented  niece Emberly Modine @emberlymodine (who has done most of my tattoo design and layout) did the illustration that Super-Tattoist Zoey Taylor @zoeytaylor used to make the stencil she used for the final tattoo.

Picture 2: This is the stencil that Zoey Taylor made in, the just finished tattoo.

Picture 3: This is the saniderm bandage that was taken off my tattoo when it was healed.

Picture 4: This is the ink and blood imprint on the covering
