Never in my 23 years would I have imagined that I’d be immortalised alongside Dundee history in my Dennis the menace look! It was an honour to reimagine this legendary Beano character as a 6”4 drag queen once again for the official opening. When creating the outfit for the show I wanted to keep all the traditional elements of Dennis but run the rest thru the Ellie diamond drag blender! I hope this piece being part of the gallery will show that Dundee has queer history and a powerful queer community that can make an impact outside of Dundee, no matter who you are! Achieving this really feels like my love letter to Dundee and all the challenges it threw at me.
