Erlend Øye Instagram – Luigi from La Comitiva has released his first song! It was written together with Alberto Locatelli and recorded at my house with so many of Luigi’s friends involved, Marco Castello as producer, Gigi Scialdone as engineer. Luigi started playing Cavaquinho at age 37 and was on stage for the first time in his life with La Comitiva in Cordoba 2018. He is from Enna, a city in the center of Sicily, where the winters are very cold and foggy, and moved to Siracusa around 2016, where we got to know eachother because he organized parties on boats with the association Solecaldo. He has always been into brazilian music and through him and the rest of La Comitiva i have absorbed a lot of that too in the recent years. Next week will also see a release of a fantastic remix of Amsterdam by Dj Tennis. Its also very likely we will include Luigis song in the setlist for the German tour in end of august( like it was in the recent BE-NE tour). Troppe notti ormai, passato in bianco.
