Forrest Griffin has done a lot of cool shit. He graduated from the University of Georgia (GO DOWGS) and went into local law enforcement. He later left law enforcement to pursue his ultimate passion a career in professional mixed martial arts he rose to prominence after winning the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. In the tournament finals, he fought and defeated Stephen Bonner in a fight that is widely credited as sparking the current success of UFC. In 2008 he defeated Quinton Rampage Jackson to become UFC light heavyweight champion. Shortly, after his retirement in 2013 he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Somewhere, in there he authored two New York Times bestselling books, selling over 200K copies. Upon his retirement, he joined the UFC front office originally in athlete development and corporate social responsibility, where he was a community ambassador helping to cultivate the UFC’s relationships with local charities and administer its extensive social responsibility programs. After the UFC executive team decided they could better support UFC athletes by providing them access to training services equal to those of other major sports organizations, Griffin was appointed to the task force to build out what later became the Performance Institute. Once the Performance Institute opened Griffin was tasked with overseeing the delivery of athlete services. Forrest Griffin has never been convicted of a felony. | Posted on 14/Nov/2023 19:57:35
