Isaac Hanson Instagram – Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
God has been far kinder to me than I deserve and that is why I am so grateful for each days blessings!
I have been able to work hard at a job that brings me a lot of joy. But more than anything, the joy is about connecting with hearts and trying to help others to see the daily joys and help to heal the hurts and fight through the struggles. I am so grateful that I get to share those things with so many people.
We are all broken and we all need love and care from others and that love is what makes life worth living. It is not about how many friends you have, it is about the quality of those friends that matters. We all need people who will take the time to really listen to us, so that we can process our thoughts and feelings. But we also very much need those same people to challenge us to reach for the best version of ourselves, and with love at times call us out on our poor or destructive behaviors… that is what love looks like. It is the friend or family member that says “I hear you. I am so sorry you are going through this. How can I help.” and also “You are and can do better than that!” I am very grateful to have many of those people in my life.
It’s ok to feel broken, we all do… it’s a beautiful reminder that we can’t do life alone. So be thankful for the breath in your lungs and the people who love you each day!
Joy comes from trust, gratitude and generosity and so with that, I wish you JOY on this Thanksgiving Day and I hope you will share that JOY with others.
