John Dolmayan Instagram – Almost without fail at the end of our shows I throw that nights played sticks into the audience . Sticks usually last about two songs before the balance is affected by the loss of wood caused by hitting the rim of the snare or cymbals so there’s generally 8 to 10 pair to throw out to the audience ( if you’ve seen us live I do this at the end of the show ). It’s also one of the only times I’m afforded the opportunity to interact with the fans as I’m usually behind the kit . On rare occasions I will instruct Sako to save a set and take them home , here is one such pair .
