Johnathon Schaech Instagram – I played DC’s gunslinger Jonah Hex on @cw_legendsoftomorrow Jonah Hex carries the legacy of his shame and failures on him, as seen in his signature facial scar and his disgraced old uniform he wears. But here’s an insight on where the cowboy’s heart truly lives. Hex joined the Confederate Army, but following Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, he rejected the Confederacy for its barbaric stance on slavery. He realized he was fighting for the wrong side because hex himself was once a slave.
