Josh Brolin Instagram – I went there last night, turned off the lights, and stared at the moon for much longer than I thought I would have. My feet are cold and my face is numb. A ring around the moon reminds me of years ago when I’d stare at it as a child in awe. How does that ring form? Then I think of my children, all four of them, and each moment so far with their laughter and their tears and their song and their dance. Why do get to be here, while others don’t? I feel like a window that separates like from like. I feel like a tree shedding what is no longer needs, a reset. I feel under this sky with this moon like a visitor who suddenly knows that it ain’t forever, for forever.
