Russell Curry Instagram – ⚡Becoming Zordon⚡
Wow! What an honor to be trusted with recreating such an iconic character. A character that means a LOT to Ranger Nation and a character that was a HUGE part of my childhood!
As soon as I read the script, I knew I had a big shoes to fill (or a big tube to fill, figuratively speaking?) I spent as much time as I could watching clips of @djfielding_zordon in order to emulate his speech patterns and bring that sage wisdom that he radiates. I definitely could’ve done better with a bit more time, but I’m really happy with how it turned out – and apparently so was he!
I had to capture as much of this journey as possible, so here are a few pieces of the process behind the scenes!
My first time putting in colored contacts in my life, and man was it trippy!
The costume fitting with @sarahvoonie before they made all the final cuts to the fabric
Me on set with my script making sure I get it all right. You’ll notice the Red Morphin Master staff right behind me cause we also shot another HUGE scene that day (more on that later)
And a little bit of how it was shot vs. how it turned out for the reveal at the beginning of Episode 10.
I can’t thank @pookina @beccabarnescats @alwynagain and the entire creative team for giving me such amazing gifts to play with as an actor for these past 3 years. So many dreams come true!
