Timothy Omundson Instagram – I posted about this role the other day but have more to say, I was honored and proud when @@rickriordan & @danshotzy invited me to be a part of their incredible creation, @percyseries , not just because it would mean joining a Dream List of guest stars , like legends, @lin_manuel , @ratedrcope , @meganomullally and the late great, @thereallancereddick Just to name a FEW, ( @jayduplass ) but also because Hephaestus 🔥⚒️, like myself and 1 in 4 Americans, are disabled * note my Cane, hanging off my cover alls, in the lower left corner of this photo. The incredible props department built it to the same specifications as the one I use in real life, although mine , sadly is not made of gold🧐. There was never any question of whether I should try and hide my disabilities , which I can’t do anyway, They are a part of who I am and I’m beyond grateful to Rick, Dan and #JonSteinberg for giving me the opportunity to play this strong, dignified and thriving character , as many in my community actually are, but you rarely get to see on your screens. #RepresentationMatters #PerformersWithDisabilities 💪🏻this show was made with so much love and is going to knock your socks off.
