Way back in 2010, when fighters shared space on the mats during open work outs, in small rooms, where only the media and teams were allowed, there was a guy who carried the torch for smaller weight classes, named Urijah Faber. ⁣⁣

It’s because of this man that anyone under 155 pounds got attention and he made it so nobody else could ever walk out to 2Pac’s California Love.⁣⁣

He looked like a surfer, had great hair, a billion dollar smile, and he could choke just about anyone into darkness, if you zigged when you should have zagged.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Not only was he a charismatic character but he also had long-term vision, a brain for business. From fitness to real estate, clothing to management, meal delivery to CBD, film production to fight promotion and who knows what else. You name a category and Urijah probably has a hand in it.⁣⁣

13 years later the sport and a small number of athletes are finally picking up the game he was laying down. ⁣⁣
