Will Buxton Instagram – OK I can’t handle it anymore. I’m definitely not going mad. Overjoyed that this wonderful song is finally Christmas Number 1. It’s such a brilliantly crafted song. But I’m utterly confused as to why the default version that plays on Spotify has a rogue element that doesn’t appear on the original, radio or remastered version. At 01:03 the pitch and tempo shift up and stay at the new level for the rest of the song. It’s awful. Ruins a meticulously and perfectly crafted piece of music. I’ve included both versions. The first is the original we are all used to as featured on George Michael’s Twenty Five. The second is the default version on Spotify. I’m not mad… am I? I’m definitely not.
