When your travel schedules unexpectedly align and you get to spend almost two days catching up with a badass human you adore, respect and admire, it’s food for the soul. I needed that, more than I even knew!
Walking for miles, drinking delicious coffee, doing cookie taste tests, eating exquisite vegan food; visiting animal shelters, talking life, on and off the road; laughing, pondering and reflecting. Not many people understand the very unusual lives we live as pretty non-stop, international, pro touring musician and highly involved activists. The highs and lows, the pros and cons, the celebrations and the challenges; the learning to say no, the desire to try do everything. The almost impossibility of maintaining any sense of a “normal life” whatever that even is 🤷🏼♀️
For so many reason I cherish time with this beautiful, smart and kind being. Kindred spirits, old souls, extreme empaths, warriors for the animals. Stage and the road are the homes we know and we’re just doing our best to be of service to this planet. Activist hearts in a rock n roll world. Love ya lady 🫶🏻🤘🏽🖤🌱
