Amber Tamblyn Instagram – Absolutely no business whatsoever wearing this sheer tulle dress and thin polkadot tights in freezing cold December weather in the U.K. but the occasion demanded it. Thank you to my friends @clelia_mountford and @sharonhorgan for hosting a celebration at your Merman offices in London for our book, Listening in the Dark. It only took me a year to get over here but it was worth it. I met the most incredible women artists, thinkers, and storytellers in the room, read a chapter or two, and led everyone in an excersize from the closing chapter of the book aimed at strengthening our relationship to intuitive intelligence and listening to what our gut tells us. A powerful, intimate evening in which I had too much red wine, hugged everyone ferociously, and took a picture of this relatable mushroom hanging on their office wall. I know you’re all going to ask so here’s the look run down: my favorite brand of shoes: @drmartensofficial , the dress by my favorite thrift store in New York @curethrift , lipstick is something like 4 different shades of god knows what was in my bag that I mindlessly applied throughout the night (I have roughly 2-6 lipsticks in my purse at all times.) #ListeningInTheDark #MermanProductions
Amber Tamblyn Instagram – Godspeed, Norman. Beyond all that you did to transform television, you did so much more for humanity. A champion of artists, of actors; a nourisher to poets and the spoken word; a co-conspirator who called young folks in to get civically engaged; you uplifted the voices, the stories, the space for women to exist in positions of power. I have a long ago memory of us standing together in the long hallway of your home after a gathering. “There’s so much we can’t control in this world, in our lives,”you said. “Showing up is not one of them.” I have tried to show up ever since, in every way I can. For myself, for others. Thank you for showing us the way. Rest well now.
