We have hired 3,700 new nurses and midwives since the 2020 election, with plenty more on the way.
Now we’re going even further.
We’re introducing laws that will see minimum midwife to patient ratios in Queensland’s public hospitals.
And for the first time in Australia, babies will be counted as separate patients to their mums.
